TheLouk is a social application for meeting people at events and venues. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it.

TheLouk is operated by Poky Group. For any question about this policy or your data, contact info@thelouk.com.
We do not collect your precise location, we do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
Your profile — name, photo, biography and relationship status — is visible to other signed-in members, particularly those present in the same event room. Your messages are visible only to the person you are matched with. Your likes and passes are never shown to the people they concern.
When you report a message, our moderation team can read that specific reported message in order to act on it. Staff access is limited to reported content; we do not browse conversations otherwise. Blocking is mutual and immediate: once you block someone, neither of you appears to the other in discovery, matches or messages.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that operate the platform on our behalf, each bound to process it solely on our instructions:
We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, likes, matches, messages and notification history are erased immediately and permanently. We retain anonymous aggregated statistics, which cannot identify you, and records we are legally required to keep such as abuse reports, for up to 12 months.
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the app. If you can no longer sign in, email us and we will complete the deletion within 30 days. Full instructions are on our account deletion page.
Depending on where you live, and in particular under the GDPR if you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, contact info@thelouk.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
TheLouk is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using the service, report the account in the app or email us and we will remove it. Our child safety standards set out how we handle child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on managed infrastructure with access controls that restrict each account to its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, notify you in the app.
